Portuguese Shrimp Mozambique Recipe
Descriere
Yes, I know, judging by the name it should not belong to Portugal at all. But this dish is a fusion between the Mozambique and Portuguese cuisine and it is sooo delicious that I can guarantee that all 🦐🦐🍤 lovers will love it!
What makes this dish so fiery and hot is the addition of Peri-Peri chillies which are honestly...very spicy🤣 so be careful while cooking!
It is very similar to shrimp Saganaki, but I personally don't like the feta in that dish, so if you want an adaptation, you can try this one. It is ridiculously easy to make and very quick.

You can find the method here. Start by sauteeing the onion with a little bit of salt in the olive oil for about 5 minutes. You don't want to brown it, so keep an eye on it.
After 5 minutes, add the garlic, mix it a little and cook for further 1 minute.
After 1 minute, add the paprika and chillies. Mix and fry for 10 seconds. Add the white wine and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the shrimps (coated with salt and pepper as per your taste) and cook for 10 minutes. You might need to add a little bit of water if it becomes too dry.
After 10 minutes, the shrimps should be cooked. Add the butter and allow it to melt, then turn down the flame and add the parsley.
Serve with bread or rice. Enjoy!
