But instead of paying 4–6€ for 100g, you can make them at home for so much lessThese caramelised almonds taste just like the ones from the German Christmas markets, and they take only 15 minutes to make.Ingredients (for ~160g almonds):160 g almonds (raw)
140 g sugar
75 ml water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1 sachet vanilla sugarMethod:1. Add all ingredients to a pan. Turn the heat to medium (not high, sugar burns fast!).
2. Stage 1: The liquid will bubble and thicken during the first ~5 minutes.
3. Stage 2: Sugar crystallises and turns into a sandy coating, don’t panic, keep stirring! (~5 minutes)
4. Stage 3: The sugar will remelt and turn into a shiny caramel glaze. You can stop earlier if you prefer the sandy version.

It marks the beginning of winter traditions, good luck rituals, and ancient customs that go back centuries. One of my favourites? Planting wheat (grâu) on the night of November 30th. Inspired by Roy Choi’s Masterclass, I had to make Inspired by Roy Choi’s Masterclass, I had to make my own version of the Kimchi Tuna Melt and trust me, this one is absolutely delicious!
High protein, packed with probiotics, spicy, creamy, cheesy… everything a good sandwich should be.Here’s the recipe:Tuna filling:
• 1 can tuna in brine, drained
• 1 scallion, finely diced
• 4 tbsp mayo
• Kimchi (to taste)
• 1 tbsp gochujang
• A drizzle of sesame oilFor the sandwich:
• 2 slices sourdough
• Grated cheddar + mozzarella
• Butter (to taste)Method:Mix all ingredients for the tuna filling.
Butter the bread, place it butter-side down in a pan, add the cheese, cover with a lid, and cook on low–medium until golden and melty.
Top with the tuna filling, slice, and enjoy.
(Optional: warm the tuna mix for 1–2 min in a pan, I prefer it cold, so I skipped this step.)What’s your favourite sandwich combo?

Harvest Chicken Salad, high protein, rich in fiber Harvest Chicken Salad, high protein, rich in fiber & perfect for meal prep. I used to order this for 16€ on delivery apps 😅 but making it at home is cheaper & more nutritious.📌 Save this recipe for busy days!🧾 Ingredients (2 portions)1 bag baby spinach
½ red cabbage, shredded
400g chicken breast
1 sweet potato, cubed & roasted
1 apple + lemon juice
100g feta, crumbled
2 tbsp sunflower seeds, toastedChicken marinade: 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp herbs, juice ½ lemon, olive oil (1h or overnight)
Dressing: 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp apple vinegar, 1 tsp honey, ½ tsp mustard, salt & pepperMethod1️⃣ Marinate & cook chicken (pan/air fryer).
2️⃣ Roast sweet potato until golden.
3️⃣ Dice apple + mix with lemon.
4️⃣ Assemble: spinach, cabbage, sweet potato, apple, feta, seeds & sliced chicken.
5️⃣ Drizzle dressing & enjoy!
Flammkuchen mit Feigen und Ziegenkäse, basically G Flammkuchen mit Feigen und Ziegenkäse, basically German-French flatbread that’s like pizza, but lighter and crispier.
Today I’m giving it a seasonal twist with figs, goat cheese, and pecans.📌 Save this recipe for your next dinner idea!Dough (1 sheet)250g all-purpose flour
125ml water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt🍽️ Toppings100g crème fraîche (or more, to taste)
2 figs, sliced
125g goat cheese roll (Ziegenkäserolle)
Fresh rosemary
Black pepper
A handful of pecans or walnuts, choppedMethod1️⃣ Mix dough ingredients into a soft dough. Cover and rest 30 min (important: gluten needs to develop so you can stretch it thin).
2️⃣ Roll out very thin, place on a baking tray.
3️⃣ Spread crème fraîche, add figs, goat cheese, rosemary, and pepper.
4️⃣ Bake at 250°C for ~10 min.
5️⃣ Sprinkle chopped nuts on top before serving.
