Rojak, also known as Rujak, is a traditional salad from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, containing both fruit and vegetables and it is sweet, sour and salty at the same time. The name of this salad also has a meaning, and that is “mixture” in the colloquial language.
My version of Rojak is completely vegan, but the original version contains a dressing with shrimp paste or fish sauce.
It’s perfect for vegetarians and vegans and the combination of flavors and textures is unexpectedly interesting!
Add the pineapple, mango, cucumber and peanuts to a bowl.
Add the lime juice to it and the sweet soy sauce.
Mix everything well and serve with sesame seeds.
Enjoy!
