Description

This can become your favourite dessert this summer! Bostock is a French pastry made of leftover brioche bread, frangipane (almond cream) and almond flakes. You can add fruit of your choice since we have summer and fruit is abundant. I really recommend you to try it!

Ingredients
    For the sugar syrup
  • 30 ml water
  • 30 g sugar
  • zest of 1/2 lemon
  • For the pastries
  • 6 Pcs brioche (toast bread works fine too)
  • 100 g butter (soft)
  • 75 g almond flour
  • 1 Pcs egg
  • 40 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • almond flakes
  • fruit of your choice (strawberries)
Instructions
  1. Making the syrup

For the soaking syrup, boil everything for 3-4 minutes until slightly thick. Set aside.

  2. Making the pastries

Mix all the ingredients listed above for the frangipane (butter + sugar, then add the almond and flour, then the egg). Spread the frangipane over the slices of bread/brioche (add the syrup to them before this step if you want it sweeter), add some almond flakes and fruit of your choice. Bake until golden. Enjoy!
