This can become your favourite dessert this summer! Bostock is a French pastry made of leftover brioche bread, frangipane (almond cream) and almond flakes. You can add fruit of your choice since we have summer and fruit is abundant. I really recommend you to try it!
For the soaking syrup, boil everything for 3-4 minutes until slightly thick. Set aside.
Mix all the ingredients listed above for the frangipane (butter + sugar, then add the almond and flour, then the egg). Spread the frangipane over the slices of bread/brioche (add the syrup to them before this step if you want it sweeter), add some almond flakes and fruit of your choice. Bake until golden. Enjoy!
